REST
I knew him not
My mum spoke of how good a man he was
People said he was kind-hearted.
It's sad that now he's spirit.
The church walls felt so enclosed
The claustrophobic effect
Back and forth the people walked
There laid his body lifeless
The fans twirled slowly
The feel of their feet hanged back to their seats
Time had come to stand still for a moment
Loud and silent tears rolled down their cheeks
All seen and felt
But I knew him not
I wish I did
It reminded me of my Granny Janet's loss
It broke me
Different emotions, swept the room because of his demise.
I focused on the tunes that played through my headpiece
so I don't get caught up in the moment
"Sorrows, sorrows, prayers"
The words of Queen Charlotte.
It was indeed sorrowful
But prayers for the family to stay strong
To walk in faith, not by sight
Words from the priest, "Live a paradise shift life, for tomorrow is not promised".
Giving his last respect
Someday, it would be us
Our funeral ,not knowing our very last
When you think
Think about Eternity.
