Whispers Of The Past

 

The many have gone their way,

The few walk a different track,

But her soul, adrift in the in-between,

Falters at the smallest crack.

She seeks the shadows' embrace,

Fleeing the noisy, judging crowd,

Their questions, echoes of what was,

Ring in her ears, a constant shroud.

The past, a ghost that lingers,
